This Lego is one of the new sets for children who are adept at creating with legos. They are required to follow directions and perform steps in sequence to make the many-pieced air ship. As soon as my 8-year old grandson opened the Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter he left the rest of his gifts to immediately begin making the Lego set. He also permitted his younger brother to assist with the assembly, which was wonderful to see as the older one showed himself to be a patient teacher. I was concerned about paying so much ...more

[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2006-10-11 Summary: One cool set! ... I always loved the Y-wing and this set is awsome. This set will take you about 3 hours of non-stop building to complete it. (Hint: make the engine parts at the same time, they are identical.) The stand makes a nice display as well. If you like Legos, Star Wars, and Y-wings, you'll love this. The only bad side is there is no pilot, and it's not designed to hold one. But I think it would take me about 10 miutes to come up with something that would work great.
