One feature I didn't like was that, like some other Lego star wars sets, the cockpits aren't closed to the "vacuum of space". These are supposed to be *space* ships...I bugs me that I can see into the cockpits through open spaces without looking through the canopy. A few small modifications using my spare parts box fixed it though. ...more

Since my son has this (now discontinued or retired) set, I thought I'd put in a word about how cool the Star Wars sets are. He found it very, very hard to build when he put it together or "too young" (his words). It took three days and I can testify to how proud he felt, after getting together nearly 700 pieces (I think it was about 685 pieces). Okay... despite having to assemble the 69-piece tread of a vehicle, then, after fumbling around and trying to get it on its track for five minutes, realizing they give you 70 pieces of tread--and one is meant to be a spare--this is a really good set. Any time you can get two decent-looking vehicles in one set, you have to be pleased. Price notwithstanding, I think this set it much better than the General Grievous Chase. And it compliments the Wookiee Catamaran very nicely if you are looking to display a Kashyyyk battle ...more
