He's been asking to get this set for Christmas since then so the buildup was tremendous. To be honest, this set did not disappoint. It took my 5 year old about 2 days to build this by himself. I only had to provide minimal help applying stickers and ensuring the bricks were together solidly. He and his 3 year old brother both love playing with this set. Although i payed more than what the price is know when it came out. The at te is not very complecated to build even though it has alot of pieces. A 7 year old most likely could handle this by themselves. It is very easy to insert and remove the minifigures from the at te. The design is very durable so you could play with it often. Assembling the various models is as easy as playing with regular LEGO and programming is a breeze if you use the visual programming tool that comes with the kit. I, however, prefer using robotC since it gives me much more control and is way more powerful than the visual tool. Its hard to ever get bored with this kit :) ...more
