... Bedford's book offers everything and anything that one could consider useful to know about building with LEGO. I love the way he describes how to design things using grids and how to organize large collections of LEGO bricks. He's even designed a game in LEGO that others can play! However, it should be noted that the book is full of errors. Most are no big deal and might not even be noticed (like the mislabelling of chapters) but the ones that really burned me are the incorrect achievements. While the count of 50 achievements is correct, some of them are just plain wrong. For example, in the game, there is no achievement for completing story mode under 2 hours. However, I was ...more

He took it to school the first day of first grade because he was supposed to bring his favorite book. That was at least 5 years ago and the book is on my dining room table from where he and his younger (7yo) brother were looking at it last night. It's never on his bookshelf - it's always either on his bed or floor or otherwise out because he looks at it all the time. I've reviewed a copule of these LEGO books by No Starch and I think they are all well written and have great content but until I see one of these in color I cannot give 5 stars.
